GODFREY Freeman, a senior partner at Morecrofts, will be made the new chairman of family law association Resolution at its national conference in Brighton next week.
It is the second success of its kind for the firm so far this year, as his appointment follows that of colleague Anne Heseltine to Liverpool Law Society president.

Richard will shortly replace Lawrence Downey, who has spent 16 years in the role.

LIVERPOOL solicitor Andrew Holroyd will be appointed president of the Law Society of England and Wales in a ceremony next week.
Mr Holroyd, the current LS vice president, is a specialist in immigration law and is a partner at Liverpool firm Jackson and Canter.
