Halliwells scoop new employment law client

Posted by Vicky Anderson on July 10, 2008 12:20 PM |

HALLIWELLS has been appointed to handle employment work for both Cheshire and Merseyside Probation services.

The firm will be the sole legal provider to Cheshire and Merseyside Probation Areas and will advise on both contentious and non contentious employment issues.

Their appointment comes after a competitive tender process.

The tender team was led by partner Kerstie Skeaping. The full Halliwells employment team working with Cheshire and Merseyside Probation Areas will comprise Kerstie Skeaping plus partner Michael Ball, associates Phil Hodges and Charlotte John, and solicitors Suzanne Grady and Avril England.

Commenting on the appointment, Ms Skeaping said: "We are delighted to have successfully come through this tender process.

"To be acting for two Probation Areas - Cheshire and Merseyside - is a significant development for our employment team."

Halliwells' employment department in the North West is top ranked by the independent legal directories - Chambers UK and Legal 500.
