Holiday abduction rise anticipated by family team

CHILD abduction cases involving Merseyside children are set to soar during the school holidays, a Liverpool family lawyer has revealed.

Last summer, solicitors reported there was a sharp rise in the number of worried parents who contacted them fearing that their former partner had abducted their children and taken them abroad.

Hospital probe barrister is reported to Bar Standards Council

A BARRISTER who demanded information from the Liverpool Women’s Hospital about the use of “gagging clauses” on doctors has been made the subject of a professional complaint.

Andrew Bousfield, who grew up on the Wirral, has been reported to the Bar Standards Council essentially for allegedly using behaviour unbecoming of a barrister.

The complaint has been made by the hospital’s solicitor Martin Edwards, of Liverpool firm Mace and Jones, a renowned employment expert in the city who also writes crime novels.

Fear of debt for accident victims

ACCIDENT victims are returning to work before they are fully recovered because they are scared taking time off could plunge them into debt.

Rather than concentrating on recuperation, more than half of people injured in an accident will cut short their rehabilitation because they can’t afford to lose wages, according to a survey by National Accident Helpline.

Down but not out

There are many tales of gloom and doom for the property market, however in my view its by no means all bad news. I’m no stranger to property recession having experienced difficult times for property and businesses in the property sector in the mid ‘70’ and the early 90’s.

On both occasions the market re-adjusted, picked itself up and it was onwards and upwards for all involved. The same will happen this time.
