Lawyers go the extra mile

MEMBERS of the Liverpool office of DLA Piper are going more than the usual extra mile for their clients this year – by running the 2008 Flora London Marathon.
John Vickery, Paul Walsh and Lesley McGoldrick, who all describe themselves as “desk jockeys, have accepted the challenge on behalf of the city’s Hargreaves Centre.

The centre on Great Howard Street is the NSPCC’s first customised safe haven for children who suffer from abuse. The listening services of ChildLine and there4me.com also operate from the purpose built facility.
So far the trio have raised £2,400 and are well on their way to achieving their goal of £5,400 with the help of DLA Piper through its match funding scheme.
Anyone interested in supporting the runners and their charity can do so on-line at www.justgiving.com/dlaliverpool.
