North West law firm Hill Dickinson has been appointed the official legal partner to Lancashire County Cricket Club.

The exclusive deal gives Hill Dickinson official partner status to the club that has seen almost 150 years of cricket at its Old Trafford ground.

Hill Dickinson will assume the role of LCCC official legal partner for the 2008 and 2009 season although the exclusivity refers to the official partner status and not usage of legal services.

Among the firm’s instructions is to renew template agreements for ground rental for major concerts - including that for Radiohead at Old Trafford in June this year.

David Wareing, Partner and head of Hill Dickinson’s Manchester office said: “We’re genuinely delighted to have secured such a prominent and landmark agreement with LCCC.

“The partnership is great news for our entire firm but is especially rewarding for our Manchester office because Old Trafford plays such a prominent role in Manchester and indeed the region. It is a privilege to be working an institution such as Lancashire County Cricket Club. “

Warren Hegg, Lancashire County Cricket Club’s business partnership manager said: “Hill Dickinson has a long established presence and reputation as a legal leader in Manchester and the North West, and we look forward to building a strong and enduring relationship with the firm.
