A STRING of high-profile regeneration projects across Merseyside have helped a group of Liverpool lawyers make the next career step.

DLA Piper, whose clients include Kings Waterfront, the Mersey Gateway and the planned new Liverpool FC stadium, has strengthened its team with seven internal promotions.

Gail Keville has been promoted from associate to legal director, while Sally Adams, Richard Ascroft, Earle Brady, Viv Burch, Anthony Gilbert and Neil Lacey have all stepped up from solicitor to associate.

The promotions come on the back of a successful year for the real estate team which has forged an impressive reputation for its regeneration work.

Legal 500, the independent review of lawyers, commented that Mark Beardwood, head of real estate, “is building a peerless reputation in the Liverpool region and with the firm’s thriving public sector business has an offering that is hard to match.”

Mr Beardwood said: “Our track record in delivering some of the city’s major regeneration projects is testament to the strength of our existing team.

“These promotions reflect DLA Piper’s commitment to retaining talent and will support the continuing growth of the Liverpool office.”
