Leading North West law firm Brabners Chaffe Street has appointed three new partners, allowing it to further extend its legal provision.

Partners Jim Percival, Lawrence McDonald and Charlotte Round are the high-profile arrivals, each bringing with them extensive experience within their respective fields.

Jim Percival has joined the firm from British Nuclear Fuels, where he had been head of dispute resolution for more than six years. Both in that role and in his previous role  as a partner with another leading regional law firm, Jim has dealt with a wide variety of complex and high value commercial disputes within the nuclear and other industry sectors. He has particular expertise in regulatory matters and is also a qualified mediator.

Jim will head the firm's regulatory team.

Lawrence McDonald will lead Brabners' property litigation team in Liverpool. He joins from niche commercial property firm Land Law where he set up the property litigation practice.

He previously worked at the London firms Nabarro and Linklaters, having originally qualified as a barrister and is recommended in the Chambers guide to the legal profession as one of the top property litigators in the North West.

Lawrence has acted in numerous high profile property disputes and was attracted to Liverpool due to its resurgent property sector.

Charlotte Round has joined Brabners' corporate team as a banking partner from the Manchester office of regional law firm Cobbetts, where she was a partner in the banking team.

She specialises particularly in acquisition and development finance transactions, and is regularly involved in deals with a value in excess of £10million, acting for both lenders and borrowers.

Jim and Lawrence will be based at Brabners' Liverpool office in Horton House, Exchange Flags, whilst Charlotte will work from the firm's Manchester office at 55 King Street.

Managing partner Michael Brabner said: "We are very conscious of the need to attract and retain the very best legal professionals in each sector.

"The arrival of Jim, Lawrence and Charlotte is a significant boost to Brabners as they bring with them expertise in three very distinct areas. Their appointments could not have come at a better time, putting us on track for our most successful year yet."
