A LIVERPOOL firm has achieved a landmark House of Lords judgement that will impact on historical child abuse claims.

Kathy Perrin of Hill Dickinson, who qualified just two years ago, realised the possible implications of the recent “Lotto rapist” ruling, and asked for her case to be heard at the same time.

Now the law will be changed to regulate the time limit that claimants have to issue proceedings.

William Kelly defended pet Alsatian Max after the dog bit a man in May 2005, and the case went all the way to London’s High Court.
