A youth who hurled abuse and threats at a Liverpool Crown Court judge a week ago has admitted contempt of court.
18-year-old Mark Trevor and his 16-year-old companion ran off after shouting obscenities at Judge David Swift and Trevor allegedly threw a fire extinguisher at a large double glazed window on the fifth floor landing smashing it.
Trevor, of Ruskin Avenue, Wallasey, was tracked down by police and appeared back before the same judge today after having been kept in custody since yesterday afternoon.
He admitted contempt involving the abusive remarks and kicking and shaking the glass panel behind the dock and sent in a letter of apology.
Judge Swift ordered that his punishment was to remain in custody until the end of this afternoon.
Trevor is due to face magistrates next month accused of criminal damage being reckless whether life was endangered involving the fire extinguisher.
The 16-year-old schoolboy, who was detained on the day outside court, admitted contempt a few hours after the incident. Because of his age the most the judge could do was impose a fine and he ordered that his parents pay £150.
The two youths had been in court for the sentencing of two other young Wallasey men for a violent incident in Birkenhead,
