BRABNERS Chaffe Street has been appointed to provide advice on environmental regulations to businesses and local councils across Britain.
The firm is to act as sole legal consultant for the new Environmental Legislation Update Service (ELUS).
The system, which has been established by the environmental charity Groundwork UK, will produce regular bespoke reports on ‘green’ regulatory matters for subscribers.
In addition, they will be able to liaise directly with members of Brabners Chaffe Street’s Environment and Regulatory Team regarding specific issues.
Simon Colvin, who leads the team, said the advice was aimed at helping businesses cut through a “tangled green web” of regulation.
He added: “With an ever-increasing amount of environmental legislation, it’s sometimes difficult for businesses to know where to turn for advice. We believe that ELUS makes it all very simple for people to comprehend.”
The selection as ELUS’ legal consultant is further recognition for Brabners Chaffe Street’s environmental team.
Last month, the firm was named in the Legal 500 survey as the North West’s leading environmental law specialist. Simon Colvin was described as having built up “an excellent record in corporate and property transactions”.
