DESPITE the wind and the rain, Southport law firm, Barnetts Solicitors, brought a taste of the summer to its staff serving up strawberries and cream as part of the Strawberry Tea Fortnight event in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
The firm raised £300 from employees donating money to the appeal for bowls of strawberries and cream. Barnetts also ran a quiz, raffles and bingo to raise money for the appeal. Strawberry Tea Fortnight is part of the firm’s summer fundraising and takes place during the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
All the money raised during Strawberry Tea Fortnight goes to Breast Cancer Care support its continued free and confidential support and information to people affected by breast cancer across the UK.
Charlotte Pugh, Barnetts’ business development manager, said:
“As a firm we believe that it is important to give something back. We run a number of charity events throughout the year to get all of our staff involved in raising money for good causes and to have some fun at the same time. Breast Cancer Care is a fantastic organisation that would not be able to carry out its excellent work without charitable donations.
Breast Cancer Care is the UK's leading provider of information, practical assistance and emotional support for anyone affected by breast cancer. Every year it gives direct support to over 22,000 people with breast cancer or breast health concerns through its helpline, peer support and other direct services.
