New head of property department at Lees Lloyd Whitley

MERSEYSIDE law firm Lees Lloyd Whitley has strengthened its property division with the promotion of long-time employee associate Angela Hesketh to the role of head of the property department.

Angela has been a member of the management team of the residential property department since 2000 and was awarded associate status in 2003.

Her new remit now involves responsibility for the strategic management and development of the department.

From next month, Angela will be head up a team of 45 which specialise in all areas of residential conveyancing including sale, purchase, equity release, remortgage, right to buy and transfer of equity.

Angela said: “It is a great honour to be given this opportunity to lead such an experienced and committed team into a new era for the conveyancing industry.

“With the recent introduction of Home Information Packs and e-conveyancing on the horizon this is a time of great change and offers new challenges to us all.�

Joining the firm straight from school in 1989, Angela qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1994 specialising in land law, conveyancing, equity and trusts and constitutional law.

A wife and mother, Angela enjoys yoga, traveling and spending time with her family.
