SOUTHPORT-BASED Barnetts Solicitors has welcomed its newest legal eagle after appointing solicitor, John Killen, to its personal injury department.

John, 39, from St Helens, has over 17 years experience in personal injury and civil litigation cases. He was previously with St Helens Law Limited where he specialised in road traffic accidents, employer’s liability and public liability matters.

John is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, a senior litigator of the College of Personal Injury Law and a member of the Law Society’s Personal Injury Panel. He said: “I am thrilled to be joining a quality Merseyside practice where I can utilise my extensive experience. It is a very exciting time for the firm and I am looking forward to working with the wealth of legal talent at Barnetts.

Gill Preston, a partner at the firm, said: “John brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the firm. I am positive he will play an integral role in the development of Barnetts’ and its expanding personal injury team.

“It has been a very busy period for the firm, and 2007 is set to be Barnetts’ most successful year yet so it is important that we recruit the right people who can contribute to the firm’s continued success.
