By Vicky Anderson on Jun 27, 07 02:57 AM

EQUAL pay, bullying, stress and whistleblowing are among the issues up for discussion at the Liverpool Law Society’s employment law conference tomorrow.

Business owners and advisers are being invited to learn about legal issues affecting the workplace at the event in the city’s Marriot Hotel.

The day-long conference is chaired by Emlyn Williams of solicitors firm Mace & Jones, winners of the LLS’s employment team of the year.

Also among the topics to be covered are: the latest on discrimination law, employment tribunals, and the new rules on TUPE – the Transfer of Undertakings and Protection of Employment regulations.

The conference is sponsored by totallylegal.com and places can be booked by calling Liverpool Law Society on 0151 236 6998

Other LLS conferences scheduled for later this year include one on property law, on Thursday September 27, and one on family law on Wednesday October 10, also both at the Marriot Hotel.
A venue has yet be set for a joint LLS and national Law Society Conference entitled Legal Aid Post Carter 2007, on Wednesday July 11.
A further joint LS and LLS conference on busincess management is set to go ahead at Haydock Park on Tuesday September 18.
