THE Law Society has announced two newly-created roles as part of its restructuring.

Joining the society as director of Law Society services is Anne Godfrey, who has wide experience in a range of commercial and not-for-profit organisations.

Stephen Ward is currently the interim head of corporate affairs for the Law Society, and becomes communications director on June 1.

Des Hudson, Law Society chief executive, said: “I believe these appointments will go a long way to making the changes the society needs to ensure our resources are used to the maximum to support solicitors.

“These two individuals bring with them a mass of experience and I’m looking forward to their joining the senior team.
